The investigation relates to alleged improper payments made by Barcelona to José María Enríquez Negreira, a former leading refereeing official in Spain. CNN —Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia fired his Ducati to an historic MotoGP title on Sunday, in front of 170,380 fans at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain. Quartararo needed to win in Valencia and hope Bagnaia scored fewer than two points. A breathless first few laps saw he and Bagnaia locked together, exchanging places with close passes. Bagnaia then settled into the pack behind his rival, who was struggling to follow the leaders. Bagnaia celebrates as he won the world championship.
